Celebrity chemist and perfumer Vincenzo Spinnato has done it agin! Known as the “Couture Chemist”. the author of My Pursuit of Beauty has created a bevy of signature scents not just fo iconic legends of stage and screen, but sometimes for landmarks!

And this time it was the famed Hollywood Marquee in all of her glory that was due for the olefactory treatment. Spinatto, the so called “Hollywood Nose” recognized the split personality of the city and embodied it in two separate scents: Sunrise and Sunset.

Sunrise: “This special scent combines pink guava nectar, papaya, and pineapples with the creamy richness of coconut, evoking the sun-kissed Pacific coast beaches. As the fragrance evolves, sun-drenched florals fill the air with an intoxicating aroma from blossoming gardens.”
I adore this scent and wear it daily. I personally enjoy a more citrus leading smell that’s light on the florals and leaves me feelings light and lush. Sunrise accomplishes this beautifully.
Sunset: “This unique scent unfolds with vibrant citrus floral notes, featuring the delicate essence of mandarin blossom and the seductiveness of jasmine. The fragrance deepens with the aroma of magnolia, infusing a sense of tranquility reminiscent of a warm soothing breeze. Adding a touch of decadence, bronzed vanilla emerges, creating a rich and inviting base.”
A good descriptor for Sunset is “sultry”, there’s a decadence of vanilla to be sure sure, but there’s a pink pepper that adds something dark and mysterious to the mix in a very pleasing way. The scent was meant to portray Hollywood Blvd after-dark in all of it’s grimy and seedy glory and while on the surface you may balk at smelling like that, it’s truly lovely.

The scents pair excellently together. If I know I’m going to be out all day, I liket o have the Sunrise up top on my neck and shoulders and the Sunset around my waist and thighs. I’ve always received compliments and I highly recommend them.
I’m going to share a few photos here from the debut event, but be sure to check out the Instagram post where Danielle and I went to celebrate the frangrance launch! It was such a fun time and truly represented Hollywood!
Both scents can be found on Hollywood Fragrance.
